Does anyone know if the new Casio E-105 I just purchased will be able to upgrade to run "Rapier" CE software? Mine has "Powered by Windows CE (Palm Computer) on the front.

Hi,
All Palm-size PCs can be upgraded - Microsoft specified that as part of the design. Casio has not announced specific plans for Rapier upgrades yet. They have yet to announce their Rapier model.

Hi

I've contacted Casio a couple of times. The message I get is that they are concentrating on the Pocket PC. I think we need to let them know en-masse that this is unacceptable.

What is it about this that is unacceptable? I would have thought everyone would want them to be focused on delivering the new Pocket PC as soon as possible??

I own a Casio E-105 and have briefly looked at the e-115 and it does not seem too different. Currently iam running CE2.11 and would like to upgrade to the pocket pc os which is basically the next version of ce? Does anyone know where/when it can be downloaded from?

I called Casio today (which I guess alot of people did) and asked about upgrading my E-105. I was referred to go to www.casio/accessories/tradein (which got me off their phone and no where.) I was able to upgrade my activesync to 3.1 by going to www.pocketpc.com/downloads. This took several tries and after I got it installed it required me to upgrade my avantgo to version 3.3 which also took several tries. The improvement is worth the effort though. Does anyone else know any more about upgrading the E-105? I DID NOTICE A WARNING FROM CASIO ABOUT USING IBM MICRO DRIVES. SAYS THEY DRAW TOO MUCH CURRENT FROM THE BATTERY AND FROM THE WALL CHARGER. (COULD RESULT IN SEVER DATA LOSS OR MICRODRIVE FAILURE> ) SHUCKS, I really wanted one too.
