I have a universal wireless pda keyboard from saitek, and have downloaded the drives, installed them onto the pda, but just cannot for the life of me get the ir keyboard to work or do anything. Is there something I am not doing? Is there some arcane secret mesopotamian chant needed? The battery is supposedly new, but have noticed that it is not the lithium mentioned in the blurb, just a standard AAA. Inquiring minds want to know! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure of this, but often the voltages of Li-Ion batteries are quite different from those of standard alkaline batteries like the 'AAA' type. Could it be that your dealer messed up, putting in the wrong battery?

Another thing; have you checked carefully to be sure you are getting the IrDA ports of both PDA and keyboard perfectly lined up? With some PDA models (especially some iPAQ models) the actual location of the IrDA device is obscure. In setting up my Targus Universal IrDA keyboard to connect to my Dell X5, there was a fair bit of trial and error before I could figure out the sweet spot. Not with a direct wand-to-Dell connection, which seems easy enough, but when using the Dell in the cradle and connecting via a fibre-optic line to the keyboard infrared wand... Okay, odd case, I know. Just saying the port may be not quite lined up.
