Hi,

I have just installed all the relevant files into my Jornada 690 to facilitate Japanese input and e-mail capability.

This is supposed to enable Japanese text input in Word, Excel etc.
Whenever I set the font to use the CEFONT.TTF as default, I get
to see the Kanji and Kana in the preview window and, when I switch
to word the CEFONT is initially selected but constantly changes back
to arial at the press of any key on the keyboard.

Is there a way to force the system to use this font?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Maybe renaming the new font to replace Tahoma would work. Have you considered doing that? Another option is to look in the registry and see what can be changed. The registry is not documented so be careful.

Thanks for the hint.
Itried renaming tahoma but it doesn't seem to work. Looks like a tricky registry editior may be neccesary & maybe even that won't do the trick.
I also tried the method recomended on the Monash website to little or no avail.
Just posted another request for info in the handheld section.
(Aghhhhhhhhhhhh)
Thanks again for the advice though.

Steve
